New Record: 100 CO2 Training Courses Already Offered
- Better understanding the basics and enhancing knowledge
- Practicing commissioning and troubleshooting in realistic exercises
- Trend towards eco-friendly refrigerants
Sindelfingen/Rottenburg, 07.07.2014. All the participants of the most recent two-day CO2 training course (transcritical) at the BITZER training center agree: the role of CO2 refrigerants will grow. There’s a great deal of interest in the seminar, with Rottenburg recently celebrating the 100th training course.
The primary reasons customers want to participate in the CO2 training course provided by compressor specialist BITZER are to gain a better understanding of the basics, enhance their knowledge and actively apply what they’ve learned. Particularly because the role of CO2 as a refrigerant is continuously increasing and there’s a general trend towards eco-friendly refrigerants, it’s important to stay on the ball. Participants consider CO2 to be the ideal refrigerant, particularly when it comes to supermarket refrigeration systems (booster and cascade systems). And customers recognize the concrete added value that the BITZER training course provides: "It’s good preparation for implementation in the field, promotes greater reliability in planning and has significantly increased our level of knowledge," emphasized one participant. The speakers share both theoretical and practical basic knowledge on the use of the refrigerant CO2 . The practical section offers training in commissioning and troubleshooting in exceptionally realistic exercises. The trainers also delve deeper into specific topics associated with BITZER products and CO2 applications. The BITZER Group has more than 15 years of experience in the development and manufacture of compressors for use with the refrigerant CO2 for sub- and transcritical applications. CO2 is establishing itself at different speeds in different parts of the world, with northern Europe, Australia and Switzerland leading the way. BITZER began working with this technology early on and has launched and continuously further developed products for a variety of demands. In fact, the range of semi-hermetic refrigeration compressors for transcritical CO2 applications was expanded a few months ago to include smaller and larger models. With the introduction of the 4PTC-6K model for lower displacements and the 4DTC-25K and 4CTC-30K models for higher displacements, the series now ranges from 4.3 to 25.6 cubic meters of displacement per hour at 50 Hz. In addition to reliable functioning, the energy efficiency of compressors plays a key role. When determining the environmental characteristics of alternative solutions, you not only have to consider the primary CO2 emissions resulting from the escaping refrigerant, but also – and more importantly – the indirect emissions resulting from energy consumption. Here, BITZER compressors have achieved a very high standard, which is used as a benchmark in the industry.
