Helping to reach EcoDesign Tier II efficiency targets
Thanks to its high performance and the possibility to reach very compact thermal approaches between the water leaving temperature and the evaporation temperature, SQD is the solution allowing chiller manufacturers to reach the challenging minimum efficiency targets of EcoDesign Tier II for air conditioning and process cooling applications.
Dry-expansion solution: less refrigerant charge
Ensuring performance close to that typical of a flooded evaporator, SQD uses a dramatically reduced refrigerant charge.
Oil recovery? Not a problem
Oil flow through the evaporator is always guaranteed.
Flexibility in part load operation
SQD allows the possibility of playing with one to three independent refrigerant circuits, and – at the same time – operating in part load up to 25% in each single circuit.
Optimization of water pumping costs
The number of baffle choices allows the optimization of water-side pressure drop in all conditions, avoiding penalizing pumping costs.
