What is preconfigured on the IQ MODULE CM-RC-02 ex-factory?
The IQ MODULE CM-RC-02 will be send out ex-factory with the newest Firmware Version. The Compressor type and compressor serial number are preconfigured on the device.Additionally for the compressor operation mode, the default refrigerant and the motor starter function part winding is preselected. Without an extension board ordered accessory will be configured but not mounted/wired.

When is the refrigerant type selection needed?
The refrigerant type is necessary, when pressure transducers are mounted on the IQ MODULE CM-RC-02. For the calculation of temperatures based on the measured pressure values, the refrigerant type is needed.

Is it possible to change the operation mode on the IQ MODULE CM-RC-02 after shipment?
Yes, for BEST and BEST APP a configuration parameter in the user menu is available. The user can changed between the protection mode (SE-B) and the compressor operation mode.

Will the IQ MODULE CM-RC-02 available as 24V variant?
The IQ MODULE CM-RC-02 will not be available as 24 V variant. For 24V systems the SE-B 24V variant will still be available.

What voltage is needed for the Safety chain input on the IQ MODULE CM-RC-02?
For the Safety Chain Input a power supply of 115V..230 V is needed.

Will the positions of the in/out connections be maintained as on the old models?
The CM-RC-02 with extension board Premium can replace all the functions of CM-RC-01 as the same in- and outputs are supported. The positioning of the in- an outputs are slightly changed. The wire length of the sensors and actors do not need to be adapted.

Will the compressor fixing points distances be the same as the old models?
The mounting position of the module housing will be the same. The Module itself has new fixing points and therefor the need of the updated module housing.

Will the CE3S family only have an increase in the dimensions of the electrical box in the 3 dimensions, while on the other families we "only" have an increase in the height of the box?
Yes, only CE3S will have an adapted motor terminal box.

What is the HP switch contact a kind of relay. Is it a reed contact?
It is a relays contact. Same type of relays also used for the motor contactors and status output.

Are Modbus addresses the same as with the CM-RC-01?
Yes, same register address for all existing Modbus Parameter. Additionally, implementation of the CM-RC-02 regarding start, stop, reset status word is exactly the same as for the CM-RC-01 to ensure an easy switch CM-RC-01 to CM-RC-02.

Can a PTC140 discharge gas temperature sensor used in combination with IQ MODULE CM-RC-02?
Yes, the PTC140 Sensor can be implemented in row with the PTC Sensor for the motor temperature monitoring.

When a new compressor is ordered to replace an old one, can the IQ MODULE CM-RC-02 in protection mode (SE-B) be integrated without modification from the electrical diagram?
Yes, the same inputs and outputs are available on the IQ MODULE CM-RC-02. A rewiring on the system side is not necessary.
A detailed description can be found in the "Quick Start Guides and "How to Videos". A protective earth connection must be fitted in accordance to KB-100. -
Is it possible to implement the IQ MODULE CM-RC-02 with 0..10V signal for VARISTEP?
Yes, the IQ MODULE CM-RC-02 can either be operated with a digital start/stop signal and 0..10V analog signal or via Modbus when VARISTEP is connected.
