Sindelfingen/Nuremberg, 14.10.2014. With its BEST service tool, compressor specialist BITZER makes it a cinch to parameterize and analyze VARISPEED and CSV devices, and it now supports the SE-i1 protection and monitoring device for screw compressors. The long-standing company, which is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year, will be showcasing the latest version of its diagnosis system at Chillventa in Nuremberg from October 14 to 16 (Hall 4, stands 310 and 408).
The BITZER Electronics Service Tool (BEST) is free Windows-based software for all of BITZER’s electronic products. Launched at Chillventa 2012, the tool has received a design makeover, with a whole host of functions and BITZER products added. It currently supports the VARISPEED and CSV product series and the SE-i1 protection and monitoring device for screw compressors.
In conjunction with the BEST converter, it makes it simple and safe to parameterize and analyze BITZER’s electronic products in line with the motto “B//SMART.” Thanks to a set of cables, the converter can be connected to all BITZER frequency inverters and protection devices. The interface converter connects the computer on which the BITZER Electronics Service Tool is installed directly with the frequency inverter or protection device.
Now for the first time, the BEST software features additional information about frequency inverter error messages, including potential causes and easy-to-understand options for testing. Located under “User setting,” the feature indicating concealed parameters that do not coincide with factory settings is also new. BEST files can now also be viewed in BDP format directly in the browser or in e-mails, making it simple to send and share data and parameters.
The graphic interface makes the BEST software user-friendly and intuitive. It provides an overview of all the necessary operating data, reads and stores all setting values and, if necessary, restores the compressor to BITZER’s factory settings. The operating data display allows you to analyze the load and the operating mode of the compressors. Because device profiles are stored, settings can be applied to other devices or replaced. Users can restore the device to BITZER’s factory settings and thus ensure safe, tried-and-tested values. BEST is available in both German and English and the language can be changed during operation.
