Tradition meets innovation at this year’s Chillventa in Nuremberg, where BITZER will showcase its innovations in line with the motto ‘SHAPING THE FUTURE WITH YOU’. From 8 to 10 October 2024, visitors can explore the company’s groundbreaking technologies at Stand 350 in Hall 7. Since it was founded 90 years ago, the company has aimed to shape the future in collaboration with its customers and partners. BITZER is setting benchmarks in a variety of areas such as refrigerant, energy efficiency and sustainability, and represents #morethanacompressor and #greencompetence.
Presentations and live demonstrations at Chillventa 2024
Once again this year, you can look forward to an extensive programme of presentations live at Chillventa and discuss future topics with BITZER experts, focusing on sustainability, energy efficiency and refrigerants. In the newly developed Experience Area at our stand, you can also attend interactive live demonstrations and learn more about the benefits of the IQ MODULE CM-RC-02.

With innovations such as special valves, reduced piston and bearing friction, and the LSPM motor, BITZER reciprocating, screw and scroll compressors are developed to be highly energy-efficient from the start. The external VARIPACK frequency inverter and the VARISTEP mechanical capacity control are also the optimal complement to compressors, as they enable precise capacity adjustment based on actual refrigeration and heating requirements and increase energy efficiency in both full and part load.
IQ MODULE increases efficiency in installation, commissioning and operation
The new generation of the IQ MODULE in particular, which is one of the BITZER products highlighted at Chillventa, goes a long way in increasing efficiency for both new and existing compressors. As a standard component of the BITZER ECOLINE reciprocating compressor series C3 to C8, the IQ MODULE simplifies and optimises compressor installation, operation, maintenance and retrofitting. This not only saves time and money for system operators, installers and planners, but also opens up a new world for operating the installed compressor accessories and for new digital services, with the aim of increasing energy efficiency in conjunction with other system components.
Maximum energy efficiency
The IQ MODULE ensures optimal, efficient compressor operation and increases availability and reliability for higher energy efficiency. It not only minimises loss with standby times and monitors all the compressor’s key operating parameters, but can also activate the oil heater and additional fan and keep an eye on the discharge gas temperature and oil supply. Additional functions included in the optional range of services for BITZER reciprocating compressors – for example, capacity control, oil level monitoring and control, and liquid injection – can be electrically connected to the IQ MODULE and further optimise operation. If necessary, additional functions can be added to the IQ MODULE even after commissioning thanks to three extension boards with different scopes of function, which doesn’t require any changes to the switch cabinet.
