BITZER continues to grow
- Increase in sales of €36 million to €657 million (prior year €621 million)

Sindelfingen, April 23, 2015. Specialist in refrigeration compressors BITZER reports a profitable 2014. In addition to a positive sales trend, the company was able to create 200 new jobs in the 2014 financial year. BITZER now employs 3,400 people. New products and solutions have consolidated its position as one of the most innovative companies in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry.
Again in 2014, BITZER managed to carry on its success story that began in a small workshop in Sindelfingen in 1934. Compared to 2013, the compressor specialist reported an increase in sales of nearly 6%. Senator h. c. Peter Schaufler, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of BITZER SE, sums up: “With an increase from €621 million to €657 million, we’re at a much higher level than in the previous year. As an innovation leader in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry, BITZER has remained true to the Swabian ingenuity of its founder. In the past year alone, BITZER invested €25 million in research and development.”
In the 2015 financial year, BITZER wants to take a more proactive approach to dealing with counterfeit products around the world as well as make its own compressors verifiable with QR codes. This should make it easier for users to tell originals and counterfeit products apart. The company is also developing additional compressors designed for use with refrigerants that have low global warming potential (GWP). The key area of focus is energy efficiency based on innovative capacity controls and the eco-friendly character of the products.
