Sindelfingen/Nuremberg, 14.10.2014. BITZER will be presenting its SE-i1 error diagnosis system for compact screw compressors at Chillventa in Nuremberg (Hall 4, Stands 310 and 408) from October 14 to 16.

Specially developed by BITZER for compact screw compressors, the SE-i1 module offers fast and easy diagnosis of operating conditions and the associated analysis. The benefit of the integrated SE-i1 system is that it not only warns of but also localizes potential problems. This means that technicians can immediately begin with system optimization, rather than first having to search for the cause, which saves time and makes the compressor ready for operation sooner.

Integrated data log and Modbus
The integrated data log is an essential component of the SE-i1 monitoring system, recording key operating data every ten seconds. The module records suction and condensing pressure as well as evaporation, condensing and discharge gas temperature, and prepares statistical evaluations of the running time and load conditions. The SE-i1 module also protects the motor by presenting all the key basic data, for instance on the direction of rotation and phase-failure monitoring. Errors in the oil supply can be identified in no time thanks to the diagnosis messages on oil level.

The SE-i1 early warning system informs the operator even before the error occurs, as the module reports even slight deviations directly to the system controller via integrated Modbus. In case of service, the communication runs directly through a converter to the BITZER Electronics Service Tool (BEST). The BEST software makes it possible to illustrate and evaluate the data in a convenient and straightforward way. This tool also parameterizes the compact screw compressors and their specific application limits.

The SE-i1 module can be ordered with any compact screw compressor and is available as a retrofit kit for existing systems.
