Long-standing company BITZER introduces CSVW2 compact screw compressors at Chillventa 2014

Sindelfingen/Nuremberg, 14.10.2014. Compressor specialist BITZER will be introducing its new CSVW2 compact screw compressors at this year’s Chillventa in Nuremberg from October 14 to 16. The long-standing company, which is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year, will be showcasing the innovative drive technology for liquid chillers with water cooled condensers in Hall 4 at stands 310 and 408.
BITZER developed the CSVW2 compact screw compressor specifically for use in liquid chillers at low condensing temperatures. The innovative drive technology with permanent magnet motor and integrated frequency inverter ensures a high coefficient of performance (COP) and thus an excellent ESEER. The mechanics are based on the tried-and-tested CSVH2 compact screw compressors for air cooled liquid chillers. The new CSVW2 motors boast maximum efficiency and deliver a much better output at low speeds and low loads than conventional motor technologies. As such, they combine proven strengths with new capabilities for part-load ranges.
The highest efficiency in its performance class
The connection sizes, configuration, construction size and weight of the CSVW2 correspond to those of the compact CSVH2 series. However, the CSVW2 is designed for water cooled liquid chillers. To this end, BITZER has adapted the concept of the CSVH2 compact screw compressors to these new operating conditions. The CSVW2 features automatic Vi adjustment and application parameter control. It can be adjusted within the capacity range of 100 to 16%.
“The CSVW2 is setting new benchmarks in efficiency, despite having the lowest weight and smallest dimensions in its performance class,” explains Volker Stamer, Director Stationary Products at BITZER. “The CSVW2 compact screw compressors for water cooled liquid chillers have joined the BITZER portfolio, opening up a whole new range of potential applications for our customers.”
