Sindelfingen/Nuremberg, 14.10.2014. Long-standing company BITZER will be presenting innovative compressor solutions at Chillventa 2014. Visitors will be introduced to the latest developments at the trade fair stand in Hall 4, Stands 310 and 408, including the expanded product portfolio of CO2 compressors.
One of the 2014 BITZER highlights is the eight sub-critical CO2 reciprocating compressors of the CME series, which are versatile and can be used as Boosters or in water cooled systems in low and medium temperature applications. Because they accommodate a displacement between 1.7 and 9.22 m3/h and are available with two motor versions, they’re exceptionally versatile and can be adjusted in line with any capacity requirements. At the same time, the new cylinder head facilitates an extremely low pressure pulsation.
While motor version 2 primarily boasts higher standstill pressures, motor version 1 expands the range of applications of the CME two-cylinder in terms of evaporation and condensing temperature. The CME series also combines the proven efficiency and the reliable drive gear technology of BITZER SL compressors with an exceptionally high strength pressure of 100 bar standstill pressure, while maintaining operating reliability at all times. Additional improvements include an optimized oil barrier and new suction gas flow-path. The CME series is ideal for use with chilled water distribution nets with a maximum condensing temperature of 25°C.
Trans-critical CKH CO2 compressors
BITZER has also expanded the capacity range of its trans-critical CO2 reciprocating compressors. The new two-cylinder CKH2 and six-cylinder CKH5 are a sensible addition to the tried-and-tested four-cylinder, as the five new CKH models are extremely compact and efficient and have expanded the compressor series to include displacements from 3.3 to 37.9 m3/h. The speed of all the models can be adjusted between 30 and 70 Hz. The CKH series is designed for pressures up to 100 bar low pressure and 160 bar high pressure and, thanks to their innovative cylinder heads, run with low pressure pulsation.
