BITZER products for natural refrigerants

BITZER is expanding its ECOLINE series for CO₂ (R744) with the new ECOLINE 6-cylinder reciprocating compressors for transcritical CO₂ applications. The new reciprocating compressors build on the proven ECOLINE construction principles such as energy efficiency, robust construction and long-term availability, forming the basis for reliable system concepts.

The new air-cooled ECOLITE CO₂ condensing units feature a compact design and user-friendly plug-and-play compatibility. They are suitable for both medium- and low-temperature applications and, thanks to advanced capacity control, enable efficient operation.

For applications with propane (R290), BITZER will exhibit a comprehensive portfolio offering low GWP values with application-specific safety concepts and high efficiency.

For industrial ammonia (R717) applications, BITZER is showcasing a comprehensive portfolio that combines low GWP values with application-specific safety concepts and high efficiency.

At Chillventa 2026, the company will also present the next generation of its screw compressors for the first time – developed with a clear focus on specific applications and customer requirements.

#greencompetence: Consultation, services and expertise included at BITZER

What matters is not only how efficient and reliable products are, but also how effectively they can be operated and further developed. This is precisely where #greencompetence comes into play – the combination of personal consultation, services and deep, application-specific expertise.

A concrete example of this approach is the PERFORMANCE KITS. They enable the targeted retrofit of installed ECOLINE (HFC/HFO) and ECOLINE PRO reciprocating compressors with the IQ MODULE CM-RC-02, adding new functionalities without complex modifications to the system design.

At the heart of the PERFORMANCE KITS is the IQ MODULE CM-RC-02, which is mounted directly on the compressor terminal box. Depending on requirements, it enables functions for efficiency optimisation, enhanced operational reliability or digital connectivity.

For example, the ENERGY KIT can be used to retrofit the VARISTEP (CRII) mechanical capacity control, optimising operation particularly under part-load conditions. The OPERATIONAL SAFETY KIT adds protective functions to increase availability, while the CONNECTIVITY KIT provides access to digital monitoring and service concepts via the BEST SOFTWARE and the BITZER Digital Network. Existing systems can thus be specifically adapted to new operating conditions and requirements.

BITZER Arena: experiencing #greencompetence at Chillventa

BITZER will demonstrate for the first time at Chillventa how products and #greencompetence interact across the entire lifecycle in the BITZER Arena. This new format is specifically designed for planners, consultants and installers, making consultation, services and digital tools tangible in a practical setting.

Hands-on stations, personal exchange and concrete examples are at the heart of the concept – from planning and installation to operation, modernisation and retrofit. The aim is to reduce complexity and simplify decision-making.

AWA at the BITZER stand for the first time

For the first time, the long-established Thuringian company Armaturenwerk Altenburg (AWA) is integrated into the BITZER stand. AWA has been a reliable partner for high-quality system components and part of the BITZER Group since 2013. The company offers a broad portfolio for wholesalers and small refrigeration applications, including valves, sight glasses, flanges, as well as actuators and sensors.
