Introduction and overview

Bitzer offers various couplings and fitting coupling housings as accessories for OS. compressors. Both can be selected in the BITZER Software together with the compressor. Mounting the coupling using the coupling housing simplifies the correct alignment of compressor and motor. For special designs (e.g. booster systems), special coupling housings are available on request.

In general, only couplings with elastic intermediate elements that can compensate for small displacements in the axial direction and do not themselves exert any axial force may be used. All Bitzer couplings meet these requirements. They are installed e.g. as shown in the following illustrations.

For KS720 and KS730, the selection also depends on the motor version (see Bitzer Software).
KS730 and KS731 differ - apart from the bore - in the hub length on the compressor side (60 or 62 mm), see dimensional drawings in the details chapter.
