Installing CM-RC-02 in
compressor operation mode
Authorized staff
All work done on the products and the systems in which they are or will be installed may only be performed by qualified and authorised staff who have been trained and instructed in all work. The qualification and competence of the qualified staff must correspond to the local regulations and guidelines.
WARNING
Risk of electric shock!
Before working on the terminal box, module housing and electrical lines: Switch off the main switch and secure it against being switched on again!
Close the terminal box and the module housing before switching on again!
The compressor module may be damaged or fail!
Never apply any voltage to the terminals of CN1 to CN6, CN11, CN12 and CN23 to CN28 – not even for test purposes!
The voltage applied to terminals 1 and 2 of CN23 must not exceed 10 V!
The voltage applied to terminal 3 of CN1 must not exceed 24 V! Do no apply voltage to the other terminals!
Terminals from CN20 are located on extension boards.
Never apply voltage to the voltage outputs, not even for testing.
Check cable connections regularly for tight fit and intactness!
Route motor temperature monitoring cables through module housing
Connect clamp type cable lugs of motor temperature monitoring to terminal plate
Place module housing on terminal box
Risk of damage to the cables for motor temperature monitoring!
Do not pinch the cables between module housing and terminal box!
Connection direct-on-line start:
Connect power voltage supply, safety chain input signal and K1 to CN 9 and CN10 and connect command for compressor start as start signal for timer to terminal strip CN3
Pay attention to specifications for connection cables Requirements for connection cables!
- Slotted screwdriver
Terminal strip CN9, terminal 2: compressor contactor "K1"
Terminal strip CN10, terminal 1: safety chain input signal "Safety In"
Terminal strip CN10, terminal 3: power voltage supply "Supply L"
Terminal strip CN10, terminal 4: power voltage supply "Supply N"
Terminal strip CN3, terminal 3: Input "Signal" compressor start
Terminal strip CN3, terminal 4: Output "GND" compressor start
- Crosss head screwdriver size 2
Connect the protective earth conductor to the earthing terminal strip
Connection part winding start or star-delta start:
Connect power voltage supply, safety chain input signal, K1, K2 and optional status feedback to CN 9 and CN10. Connect command for compressor start as start signal for timer to terminal strip CN3
With part winding or star-delta start, K2 must also be connected in addition to K1. This means that one more cable cores is required than for the connection for direct-on-line start. In addition, the optional status feedback can be connected to CN10.
Pay attention to specifications for connection cables Requirements for connection cables!
