Retrofitting capacity regulators
NOTICE
For capacity control in combination with the CM-RC-02 compressor module, extension board A (CM-IO-A) or B (CM-IO-B) is always required.
For capacity control in combination with the CM-RC-02 compressor module, extension board A (CM-IO-A) or B (CM-IO-B) is always required.
- On CM-RC-02 with extension board CM-IO-A, max. 2 capacity regulators can be connected (3 peripheral devices in total).
- With extension board CM-IO-B, max. 4 capacity regulators can be connected (6 peripheral devices in total).
- Without extension board, the capacity regulators must be controlled by an external controller – in this case, however, only stepped capacity control via blocked suction (CR) is possible, not intermittent activation of the capacity regulators (CRII).
Ordering a compressor with capacity control but without an extension board therefore only makes sense if
- only stepped capacity control by means of an external controller is planned, or if
- virtually stepless capacity control CRII is to be made possible by means of a retrofitted extension board.
Compressors for R744 (CO2) transcritical:
4PTE .. 8CTE
- Compressor was ordered ex works with capacity control: Retrofitting is possible (Retrofitting cylinder heads for capacity control).
- Compressor was ordered without capacity control: Retrofitting is possible only for compressors 4PTE .. 4KTE beginning with serial number 1604607245 (Retrofitting cylinder heads for capacity control).
Semi-hermetic compressors for HC, HFC, HFO:
2EES(P) .. 8FE(P) and respective tandems
- Compressor with module CM-RC-02: Retrofitting capacity regulators (cylinder heads and solenoid valves) is possible (Retrofitting cylinder heads for capacity control).
- Compressor with module CM-RC-01: Cylinder heads for capacity control must be pre-mounted on the compressor. Solenoid valves are available as add-on kits "capacity control". Mounting: Retrofitting CRII solenoid valves with CM-RC-01
- Compressor without compressor module:
- Retrofitting capacity regulators (cylinder heads and solenoid valves) is possible (Retrofitting cylinder heads for capacity control).
- For many compressors, an ENERGY KIT can be ordered as an alternative, consisting of CM-RC-02, extension board CM-IO-B, discharge gas temperature sensor, pressure transmitter and (depending on compressor) 2 or 3 CRII capacity regulators: Retrofitting CM-RC-02 incl. CRII cylinder heads (ENERGY KIT)
