Industrial Refrigeration Network Conference (IRN) 2025 in review

The Industrial Refrigeration Network Conference (IRN) 2025 was a resounding success and once again demonstrated the importance of the continuous exchange of knowledge, trends and innovations in the refrigeration industry. The English-language event, which took place on 4 and 5 June at the SCHAUFLER Academy at our BITZER site in Rottenburg-Ergenzingen, Germany, brought the industry together to discuss the latest developments and challenges in industrial refrigeration technology. In addition to BITZER, numerous other sponsors are behind the IRN conference. The event was launched just last year by a group of European HVAC&R component and system suppliers to create a recurring platform for thought leaders in industrial refrigeration technology in Europe.

Highlights of the conference

• Innovative technologies: Presentations and discussions on the latest technologies and solutions in industrial refrigeration technology, including natural refrigerants and energy-efficient systems.
• Technical presentations: Industry experts shared their knowledge and experiences in various areas of industrial refrigeration technology – from system optimisation to new legal regulations.
• Networking: The conference offered numerous networking opportunities where participants could make valuable contacts and discuss collaborations for future projects.
• Conference sponsor stands: The event sponsors presented their latest products and services at the accompanying exhibition. Among the innovations showcased by BITZER were our Ammonia Compressor Packs (ACPs) – screw compressor packages developed specifically for the refrigerant ammonia.
• Focus on sustainability: Sustainability was a key topic at the IRN 2025 conference. Many presentations and discussions focused on environmentally friendly technologies and reducing the carbon footprint in the industrial refrigeration industry.
