Introduction
Screw compressors of the HS. and OS. series can be used for all common refrigeration systems. They are integrated into the refrigeration circuit in a similar way as reciprocating compressors, but the specific characteristics of the oil circuit must be taken into account. The capacity range can be considerably extended by the simple and economical BITZER compound technology.
The compact screw compressors of the CS. series are primarily designed for mass-produced systems with low system volume and low refrigerant charge (liquid chillers, compact air conditioners and heat pumps). Using them in extended systems (e.g. with remotely located condenser) is possible, but only with additional measures and individual testing. Systems with several compressors should be designed with separate circuits. Parallel operation is possible, but requires special measures for oil equalisation.
