Switch off the compressor on which work is being carried out, if necessary the entire system, and secure it against being switched on again!

Danger due to bursting of the coupling
The coupling may burst if not used as intended. There is a danger to life from flying fragments. In potentially explosive atmospheres, the bursting of the coupling can lead to an explosion.
Only use the coupling for its intended purpose and, in potentially explosive atmospheres, only use couplings with EX marking.
WARNING
The compressor is under pressure!
Serious injuries are possible.
Depressurise the compressor!
Wear safety goggles!
CAUTION
Surface temperatures of more than 60°C or below 0°C.
Risk of burns or frostbite.
Close off accessible areas and mark them.
Before performing any work on the compressor: switch it off and let it cool down or warm up.
Risk of damage to the component.
Tighten screws crosswise in at least 2 steps to the prescribed tightening torque.
Risk of damage to the compressor due to wrong couplings!
Use only couplings approved by BITZER !
For use in explosive atmospheres:
DANGER
Risk of explosion due to wear of the elastomer elements of the coupling!
Only use a specially marked coupling which is approved and authorised for the use in explosive atmospheres!
