Oil monitoring OLM-IQ
The OLM-IQ is delivered pre-assembled and fully electrically connected if ordered with the compressor. The OLM-IQ-AS is mounted in place of the sight glass, if it is retrofitted. The oil level in the compressor is in the sight glass range.
- Position the compressor at an angle before dismantling the sight glass.
- For compressors that have already been assembled: Drain the oil or have an oil pan ready. Replenish this oil after assembly.
- According to the type of oil, prevent air from entering the compressor and do not reuse drained oil.
Damage to the compressor caused by degraded refrigeration compressor oil.
Moisture is chemically bound to the synthetic oil and cannot be removed by evacuation.
Proceed with extreme care:
Any penetration of air into the system and oil drum must be avoided under all circumstances.
Use only oil drums in their original unopened state!
This applies to all oils that are not mineral oils, e. g. polyolester oil (POE oil), polyalkylene glycol oil (PAG oil) and polyvinyl ether oil (PVE oil).
