Pre-mounted cylinder head: Mounting the solenoid valve
If a compressor is ordered ex works with capacity control, it is equipped with the desired number of cylinder heads for capacity control and pressure tested at the factory. Depending on the compressor and equipment, the solenoid valves are either already mounted and wired or supplied as an accessory kit. If they are supplied as an accessory kit, they must be mounted and electrically connected after the compressor has been put in place.
WARNING
The compressor is under pressure!
Serious injuries are possible.
Depressurise the compressor!
Wear safety goggles!
For tightening torques see
- AW-100: Tightening torques for screwed connections
Compressor damage possible!
Only use suitable original solenoid coils!
- Remove the oval flange from the cylinder head for capacity control. Remove the old gasket and clean the sealing surface.
- Fit the new gasket, paying attention to the position of the guide pins.
- Fit the solenoid valve with new screws, tightening the screws alternately.
- Attach the gasket to the electric connector of the device.
- Screw the electric connectors of the device to the solenoid coils.
- Place the solenoid coil on the solenoid valve; it will snap into place.
