Parallel operation
Parallel operation requires an individual and careful evaluation and design approach with respect to oil return as well as balancing between the compressors. Individual consultation with BITZER is required!

Economised and non-economised compressors can also be combined in one system.
However, the application limits of the non-economised compressor have to be considered for all compressors in case of parallel operation!
Also, for economised compressors which are operated without economiser, the application limits for the standard ORBIT compressors with higher evaporation temperature limit have to be respected!
- For a tandem configuration, the displacement of the two compressors used can be different.
- In case of a trio configuration, the compressors must have the same displacement.
Application and options with respect to the BITZER Advanced Header Technology (BAHT) remain identical to non-economised compounds. All examples in this document describe system configurations with all compressors being economised.
