Parallel systems
Parallel systems require an individual and careful evaluation and design approach with respect to oil return as well as balancing in between the compressors. Individual consultation with BITZER is required!

Trio | ORBIT FIT | ORBIT FIT | ORBIT FIT |

Economised and non-economised compressors can also be combined in one system.
However, the application limits of the non-economised compressor have to be considered for all compressors in case of parallel operation (for application limits ORBIT see brochure ESP-130)!
Also, for economised compressors which are operated without economiser, the application limits for the standard ORBIT compressors with higher evaporation temperature limit have to be respected!
- For a tandem configuration, the displacement of the two compressors used can be different (uneven compound assembly). Thus, one ORBIT 6 (GED6 series) and one ORBIT 8 (GED8 series) can also be applied in parallel.
- In case of a trio configuration, the compressors must have the same displacement (even compound assembly).
Application and options with respect to the BITZER Advanced Header Technology (BAHT) remain identical to non-economised compound assemblies. All examples in this document describe system configurations with all compressors being economised.
