Selecting the liquid subcooler in the BITZER SOFTWARE

A standard setting of 10 K temperature difference between saturated ECO temperature and subcooled liquid temperature is used in the BITZER SOFTWARE when "Auto. subcooling" is selected. This temperature difference is also indicated as Δteco in the diagram above.

The liquid subcooler performance data can then be used in order to identify an adequately sized heat exchanger, e.g. also in the BITZER SOFTWARE. Afterwards, the performance data of the compressor must be re-calculated with adjusted liquid subcooler performance data. Actual liquid subcooling or temperature differences must be specified in the BITZER SOFTWARE:
