Setup internet connection
Setting LAN parameter
- Connect an ethernet cable to the ethernet port 2 of the gateway and to the notebook.
- Open a web browser and enter the following address: http://169.254.0.254/network.html
- The following site should appear:

On the right side, the configuration required by the router can be set from the following options:
- static IP address
- subnet mask
- default gateway IP address
- DNS server
- NTP server
Hit Save after the settings have been entered on each subject.
For setting the gateway configuration back to its default settings, hit Use DCHP.
Connection requirements
Communication shall be enabled in both directions in the on-site firewall, i.e. from the gateway to the internet (outgoing) and from the internet to the gateway (incoming).
- URL destination: ioc.bitzer.de
- IP address: 13.79.80.155
- Port: 8884 (Port: 8883 for the gateways with firmware version below 3.0.0)
Setting GSM connection
- Make sure the SIM card is properly installed (SIM card installation).
- Connect an ethernet cable to the ethernet port 2 of the gateway and to the notebook.
- Open a web browser and enter the following address: http://169.254.0.254/gsm.html
- The following site should appear:

On the right side, the configuration required by the GSM module to establish the 3G internet connection can be set from the following options:
- APN (access point name)
- user name
- default gateway IP address
Hit Save after the settings (available from the SIM card provider) have been entered.
