Brazing-welding designation of connections
The bushes, shut-off valves and other connections especially of screw compressors are named according to the following rule:

Nominal diameters (DN) are not actual dimensions!
The nominal diameters DN10 .. DN200 only indicate ranges! The number is not a quantifiable unit, it is only indirectly related to the diameters of the connections and should not be used in calculations.
Often (especially with reciprocating compressors) another designation is used: Di/Da-Designation of connections.
For the actual valve bodies and also for individual bushes, there is a more detailed nomenclature (Nomenclature of valve bodies, Nomenclature of brazing and welding bushes).
