History
The BITZER success story began 90 years ago: in 1934, the Swabian inventor Martin Bitzer laid the foundations in a small workshop in Sindelfingen, Germany. Did you know that in the beginning he did not manufacture compressors, but thermostatic expansion valves made of steel? However, production quickly grew and compressors became our core business. Today, with 75 locations in 40 countries and more than 4,300 employees, BITZER has long been a global player that sets international standards in the forward-looking refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump technology sector.

Together we aim to develop and implement the best solutions – like re-usable load carriers for sustainable freight without using any packaging materials, consignment stock for high availability, and new technologies like cylinder unloading technology to ensure better part load regulation and energy efficiency. Our origins are important to us at BITZER – even more important to us is shaping the future of our customers, partners and colleagues. Their challenges are ours.
