ORBIT keeps on revolving
The universe has always been a source of inspiration for humankind. This inspiration is also alive within our ORBIT scroll compressors: in an orbiting process, their scrolls travel unceasingly and reliably around their circuits.
Alone, in tandem or groups of three, in a classic design or with Flexible Injection Technology: in air-conditioning applications and heat pumps, no other series of compressors is as flexible as BITZER ORBIT.
The ORBIT family
Maximum efficiency in full- and part-load, even in the challenging operating conditions of variable ambient temperatures: ORBIT 6 and ORBIT 8 have been proving their worth for years; since March 2018, there are now the new models in the ORBIT+ and ORBIT FIT series. With them, BITZER is making contractors fit for the intensified legal requirements around the world.
In terms of system design, scroll compressors in the BITZER ORBIT series are unbeatable: their connection dimensions make it possible to exchange all compressors within the ORBIT 6 and ORBIT 8 families with each other. This is a major advantage, especially when converting or upgrading existing or constructing new systems. All compressor series can without great effort be combined with each other as well as with the oil management system BAHT (BITZER Advanced Header Technology) for tandem and trio configurations.

ORBIT 6 and ORBIT 8
Where it all started: ORBIT 6 and ORBIT 8 are the cornerstones of the popular BITZER scroll compressors in two different construction sizes. They can now also be operated with the A1L refrigerant R410A as well as with low-GWP A2L refrigerants like R454B, R452B and R32.
ORBIT+ and ORBIT FIT
These enable contractors to fulfil legal requirements like those of the F-gas Regulation and the Ecodesign Directive: like ORBIT 6 and ORBIT 8, both compressor series are suitable for A1L and A2L refrigerants. ORBIT+ features a line start permanent magnet motor and, like ORBIT FIT with economiser technology, stands for higher cooling capacity, efficiency and wide application limits. Both can also be operated with external frequency inverters such as the VARIPACK series by BITZER – and that within a frequency range of between 35 and 75 Hz. Their low oil carry over rate is an additional advantage and can hardly be beaten; just like their exceptionally quiet operation.
