Reciprocating Compressors for CO2
CO₂ (R744) is a future-proof refrigerant with negligible ozone depletion potential and very low global warming potential. It is widely used in commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, especially in transcritical and subcritical applications.
BITZER reciprocating compressors for CO₂ are designed for high operating pressures and enable reliable and efficient system operation. They can be combined in booster and cascade systems and support scalable system design.
Typical applications include:
- Low- and medium-temperature refrigeration
- Air conditioning and heat recovery systems
- Large heat pumps
Displacement at 50 Hz:
- Transcritical applications: 3 to 99 m3/h
- Subcritical applications: 1 to 199 m3/h
